ASKER A. SAEED
Saeed Consulting Group was founded by noted diversity and inclusion professional, Asker A. Saeed, who has spent two decades as a thought leader and trusted advisor to a variety of organizations including law firms, corporate legal departments, bar associations, and hundreds of lawyers and law students. Leveraging these experiences, he helps his clients ideate, design, develop, and implement systems, procedures, and programs designed to advance organizational diversity and inclusion goals.
Mr. Saeed is a longtime advocate for greater diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, having served the effort in various capacities and with various organizations. Prior to founding Saeed Consulting Group, Asker headed up the diversity and inclusion initiative at international law firm Fried Frank and prior to that at northeast regional law firm Day Pitney. Prior to becoming a diversity and inclusion professional, Asker held various business and legal roles at United Technologies Corporation (now known as Raytheon Technologies), including as Vice President, Customer Business, Commercial at International Aero Engines AG and Assistant Counsel at Pratt & Whitney, where he also served as the Pratt & Whitney delegate to the UTC Diversity Council. Asker is a licensed attorney and started his legal career as an associate at Connecticut based law firms Murtha Cullina and Robinson & Cole, where he took an active role as a member of the respective firm’s diversity and inclusion committees. He has also held management level roles at Robert Half Legal Consulting Solutions and Future Shop.
Asker also serves on the Advisory Council of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of North America, a 29 chapter bar association serving the rapidly growing South Asian legal community in the United States and Canada by providing a recognized and trusted forum for professional growth and advancement while at the same time promoting civil rights and access to justice. Asker previously served as the organization's Executive Director, as a member of its Executive Committee, and as a member of its national board.
A highly sought after and recognized speaker, both nationally and internationally, Mr. Saeed has received numerous awards for his efforts, including the 2008 South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut Member of the Year Award, the 2015 Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award, and the 2018 University at Buffalo Law School Students of Color Committee Distinguished Alumni Award. Originally from Canada, he is a founding member of the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut.
Although Asker always enjoys partnering with his clients on advancing their diversity and inclusion initiatives, what he really likes to do is ride his bicycle, go fast, and figure out ways to go faster.
KIM AMRINE
Kim and I often collaborate in our work. Together we have over 25 years of collective DEI professional experience and gain a lot from partnering together.
Kim started her DEI professional career in 2006 as a Director of Diversity when it was a very unique role. She's learned a lot in the last 15 years, through her own work and through collaboration with countless DEI professionals across the country. Now she has the privilege of sharing these insights with organizations country-wide in a variety of industries. her hope is that the impact of her work may be felt more broadly than before.

YASMEEN SAEED
Yasmeen Saeed is a social media whiz who also spends her time designing surveys that support conceptualizing and implementing data driven strategies aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the work place. She has an extensive research background in a variety of spaces including medical, health policy, and community health research, and academic research in the field of Turkish and Middle Eastern history. Yasmeen’s academic interests are largely in the historical and structural factors that have created and continue to maintain systemic inequities in workplaces and health equity.
Yasmeen graduated in 2022 with a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Connecticut and in 2020 from Amherst College, where she was a member of the Varsity Field Hockey team and served as President of the Council of Amherst College Student Athletes of Color (CACSAC) and as one of two students on the Athletic Department’s Committee on Diversity & Inclusion.
Yasmeen also works as Policy & Communication Lead and Executive Assistant for the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of North America and as an assistant Varsity Field Hockey coach for Choate-Rosemary High School.
